A Wedding and the Battenkill

On July 7, 2012, I happened to be in Southwestern Vermont for a wedding. So I took the opportunity to head to Manchester and fish the Battenkill. This wasn’t the first time I fished it, but was the first time I had fished the Vermont side (it runs from Vermont into New York). I only stayed at it for about two hours, but was able to catch a few on a tan elk hair caddis:


After a few hours of fishing in the morning, I hit up The American Museum of Fly Fishing in downtown Manchester. It was worth the visit:
